Schedule and On-Call Requirements:

• Shift:
• Day Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts (07:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Alternate option: 3x12-Hour Shifts (07:00 AM – 7:30 PM) may be considered
• On-Call: 4–5 on-call shifts per 6-week schedule; 30-minute callback window.
• Weekends: 4–5 shifts per 6-week schedule, may include various shifts (day/evening/night).
• Holidays: May be required to work at least 1 major holiday (day/evening/night).

Duration: 13 weeks

Compensation for 40 hours:

• Weekly Gross: $2,410.00 Per Week
• On W2(Taxable): $800.00 Per Week ($20/hour)
• Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,610.00 Per Week

Position Summary:

WellSpan York Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. The ideal candidate must be clinically strong, autonomous, and proficient in robotic surgical procedures across multiple specialties. This position is integral to supporting surgical teams in a Level I trauma center environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to surgical patients in the operating room.
• Ensure compliance with protocols related to patient safety, sterile field, and infection control.
• Manage surgical cases involving robotics, general surgery, ortho, GYN, ENT, vascular, and other specialties listed below.
• Prepare the OR and instruments in advance of procedures.
• Monitor and document patient vitals, progress, and perioperative outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other perioperative staff.
• Respond efficiently in emergency and trauma situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of recent OR RN experience.
• Level I trauma center experience required.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.

• Robotics Proficiency:
• Must be able to function independently with DaVinci Xi (required).
• Familiarity with DV5 DaVinci robot is a plus.
• Robotic specialties required: General, GYN, Thoracic, and Urology.

• Additional Surgical Proficiency Required In:
• Orthopedics
• Bariatrics
• ENT
• Plastics
• Vascular
• Trauma

• Charting System: EPIC (preferred)

• License: Active PA RN license or multistate compact license in-hand at time of submission.

• Certifications:
• BLS – Required (AHA or ARC only)
• Other certs (ACLS, CNOR, etc.) – Preferred but not required
