Specialty: SDU – Stepdown Unit
Location: Chesapeake, VA – Located in Coastal Virginia, near Virginia Beach and Norfolk. Known for its hiking trails and over 20 scenic waterways.
EMR: EPIC – Proficiency required
Floating: May be expected as per facility needs

Requirements:

Licensure:

Active VA or Compact RN License – Required at submission

Certifications (AHA only):

BLS
ACLS
NIHSS

Experience and Skills:

Minimum 1 year SDU experience required (3+ years preferred)
Strong neuro background required
Must be proficient in:
- Ventilators
- IV starts
- Telemetry
- PA lines
- Conscious sedation
- Insulin and neuro IV titration
Travel experience preferred
