Job Summary and Qualifications

The Wound and Ostomy Center nurse is a licensed professional responsible for planning and providing care for patients with complicated wounds, and/or any patient who has a potential skin care problem, and/or patients with a new or well established ostomy, fistula, and/or percutaneous tube. Serves as patient advocate in order to assist the patients in achieving an optimal level of wellness and independence. The Wound and Ostomy Center nurse will consult with other members of the health care team in the management of acute and chronic wounds, and/or ostomies.

What qualifications you will need:

• Active NH as a Registered Nurse license or compact Registered Nurse license

• Associates in Nursing

• Two to four years Comprehensive Wound and Ostomy experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Certification as a Wound and/or ostomy specialist- WOCN, CWCN, CSW, OMS or WCC
