General Information

Unit Specifics:

· Number of Beds : 14 postpartum, 7 LandD

· Patient Ratios : 1:3 couplets postpartum or combination of gyn patients, 1:2 LandD

· Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : RN’s and CST’s

· Type of equipment : GE Corometrics Fetal Monitors, GE Pandas and Giraffes, Affinity 4 labor and delivery beds, NeoPuff

· Documentation system: Meditech and CPN

· Scheduling requirements: 3 (12 hour) night shifts

· Floating policy: None

· Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift report and hourly rounding

Requested Skill Set: 2 years’ experience in Labor and Delivery and postpartum/couplet care

Must have: BLS

Advanced skills needed: Circulating and PACU/Recovery

Procedures performed on unit: C-sections, vaginal deliveries, circumcisions
